process
web launch meeting
In the initial meeting with a client, Vermont Web Productions asks
a series of questions designed to better understand the company identity
and the nature of the project. This meeting often inspires as well
as educates, and it strives to achieve a clarity of purpose for both
the client as well as the design team.
proposal
Based on the initial meeting (or meetings), Vermont Web Productions provides a written proposal outlining the scope of the project, its expected deliverables, and timeline from concept to completion.
service agreement
If Vermont Web Productions' proposal is accepted, a service agreement
is signed by both parties.
design
In a typical project involving design such as a corporate website,
the first step is to review design samples created by Vermont Web
Productions. During this process, page layout, colors, and composition
are determined. Once a design is agreed upon, this "look-and-feel"
is then applied to the entire site.
site map
A site map outlining the pages to be developed is provided by the
client. This includes determining not only the amount of pages, but
the navigation as well. Vermont Web Productions works in tandem with
the client to best determine a site architecture maximizing exposure
for the most important company content.
web development
Once the web content is determined, Vermont Web Productions determines the type of
technology best suited for the project. Vermont Web Productions' preferred
programming languages include PHP, HTML, DHTML, MySQL, Flash, and
Javascript. All websites are developed on a Vermont Web Productions server until
project is completed and delivered to the client.
qa testing/web launch
The site is finally loaded onto the client's server, and once the site has been tested and approved by the client, the new website is launched for public viewing.
