Abstract

BEA Partners needed an improved partner website that would deliver partner related sales and marketing materials in a more user-friendly web environment. Additionally, BEA needed a cost-effective method of providing an overview of the newly designed Partner Portal.

Identified Challenge

Overall – Produce a tutorial for the BEA Partners that provides an overview of the newly designed Partner Portal.

Marketing – Convey the following message/concepts:

• Service oriented
• Quality support
• New products
• New sales opportunities

Process

• Initial meeting with Marketing and Partner Development to review purpose of Partner Portal
• Layout a basic storyboard in Powerpoint outlining all the major points that must be covered in the tutorial
• Write an audio script coinciding with the storyboard developed
• Create a tutorial in Flash format with audio
• Revise audio and visual components
• Final review from Marketing and Partner Development
• Post tutorial to BEA Partner Portal Help section and portal home page

Observed Results

With the tutorial, BEA partners have a quick and easy way to learn all the benefits of the new Partner Portal, including new products, new programs, quality service and support.

Conclusion:

The BEA Partner Portal, designed by the Vermont Web Productions team, was highlighted in this easy-to-use Flash tutorial. The tutorial helped to reinforce the already established perception that BEA takes pride in providing BEA Partners with the finest service and support available in the industry.
